《無職轉生》第二季的原盤整體質量較難一概而論。一方面，無職的獨特線條外觀、水彩風背景，以及帶有重噪的美術風格，對部分觀眾而言或許不算討喜。但另一方面，製作方在噪點的處理上展現出高度的技術水平，在碼率受限的情況下仍然能充分保留噪點的時域結構，並引入了如在運動場景中切換為靜態噪點等局部優化手法，整體可視為教科書級的案例。
儘管製作方在四張 BD50 光盤中收錄了多達 25 話正片、11 話 NC 版正片以及相當可觀的特典內容，導致視頻流碼率相比常規 BD 降低了約 20%，但整體畫面中幾乎未見因碼率不足而產生的常見瑕疵。
在後期處理方面，我們先是採用了保守的抗鋸齒、去色帶及補償性銳化操作，並對色度平面欠碼部分進行了修復。本片製作的重點在於編碼方針的選擇。根據過往經驗，x265 在壓制強噪點動畫時的碼率效率不佳，而我們在無職第一季的製作中亦有類似觀察。為解決這一問題，我們重新評估並採用 AVC 10bit、基於 x264 編碼器方案的可能性，並取得了良好效果。從表現來看，x264 的內部邏輯與無職第二季的時域噪點狀況相當契合。相較於 HEVC，我們最終成功實現了近 30% 的體積縮減，同時保留了與原盤相近的噪點視覺強度。
最後，特別感謝參與本次壓制的組員所付出的耐心與努力，順利解決了本片原盤存在的多個技術問題，包括但不限於 BD 流文件的大量拼接處理、音視頻同步修復，以及字幕缺漏片段的補全等。
